Washington County
Washington County is one of three counties making up the greater Portland metropolitan area. The county seat, Hillsboro, is about 17 miles west of Portland.

Clackamas County
Clackamas County is one of three counties making up the greater Portland metropolitan area. The county seat, Oregon City, is about 13 miles south of Portland.

Multnomah County
Multnomah County includes Portland, the county seat, and surrounding areas.

Yamhill County
Yamhill County is southwest of Portland, and McMinnville, the county seat, is about 38 miles southwest of Portland.

Marion and Polk Counties
Marion County, southeast of Portland, has Salem as its county seat. Salem is about 47 miles south of Portland. Dallas is the county seat of Polk County, which lies southwest of Portland. Dallas is about 60 miles southwest of Portland.
