E-Manager, PGE’s innovative energy information service, is designed to help operations and facility managers take control of energy costs. With Oregon’s electricity restructuring, that goal has taken on increased significance.
E-Manager helps by providing you with easily understood charts and graphs of your usage in 15 or 30-minute intervals — hour by hour, day to day, week to week, and month to month.
With this knowledge you’re in a better position to optimize operations and lower costs, as well as shop for a supplier that’s right for you.

E-Manager helps you understand your energy usage
A special electric meter installed at your site will generate load data that is fed to E-Manager. You can then generate a wide variety of easy-to-use tables or graphs, print them for use in reports, or export data for spreadsheet applications.
With the information you get from E-Manager, you can:
- Generate an “average day” profile to compare to a “peak day” profile
- Compare current energy information to historic data
- Identify anomalies in your usage
- Verify the effectiveness of your energy-efficiency measures
- Find abnormally high spikes during the day and use this information to determine what caused them
With this information you can adjust your operations to reduce the peak loads or correct equipment problems.

System requirements and costs
You can pay as little as $50 per month for the basic E-Manager package. Meter upgrades and setup charges are additional. System requirements include:
- Windows 95, 98 or NT, Pentium with 64MB RAM
- 56K Internet connection using Internet Explorer 5.01 or newer
- 1024 x 768 screen resolution
