PGE’s outstanding power quality and reliability are essential in helping Oregon businesses thrive and grow. They are also key factors in attracting companies with power sensitive operations to our region. To meet the most demanding reliability needs, PGE has designated four geographic areas as Reliability Centers, where reliability meets or exceed industry specifications.

    Superior power quality standards

    Liveable Oregon
    We’re open for business
CEO Peggy Fowler “If you’re considering a business move, we invite you to explore the advantages of doing business here. Competitive electricity prices. Reliable power. Customer service you can count on. All that, in one of the most scenic and liveable places you could dream of. As the slogan says, Oregon’s for dreamers!”
    — PGE CEO Peggy Fowler
PGE measures power quality performance from a customer standpoint, not utility system averages, using the SEMI-F47
standard developed by the semi-conductor industry. By meeting or exceeding these standards, PGE supports industries with the highest power quality requirements. We monitor power quality closely and provide quarterly performance reports.

    World-class customers
PGE serves a wide range of customers from top semi-conductor manufacturers like Intel to leading aerospace manufactures like Boeing. Find out about firms expanding or relocating here in Business News.

A convenient stop for site selectors
PGE provides infrastructure history and power delivery site specifications. Visit the Oregon Prospector Web site for profiles of Oregon communities, including information on population, unemployment, major industries, transportation, utilities, educational and medical facilities and property tax rates.

    Incentives for energy efficiency investments
In Oregon, you get state tax credits and rebates for energy efficiency measures, and PGE is ready to assist customers through the process. The Energy Trust of Oregon provides energy efficiency rebates for new construction, building efficiency, production efficiency and operations and maintenance.

    PGE, a renewable energy leader
One of the first utilities to offer renewable power, PGE now ranks second nationally in green power sales volume and third in total green power customers. More than 40,000 PGE residential and commercial customers have chosen renewable power.
